About Us

What Are We?

At the Bison Information Network (BIN), NDSU’s TV media outlet student organization, we specialize in:

1.    News show production
2.    Promotional video production
3.    Sport talk-shows
4.    Entertainment talk-shows
5.    Public service announcement production

Learning to Do, Doing to Learn

The BIN strives to promote a hands-on and “real-life” atmosphere. The BIN is the only 100% student-run organization in the region and one of the few in the country. At the BIN students are challenged to learn by doing.

Students and members of the BIN are responsible for the BIN’s weekly newscast, ‘SU TV News and Bison Athletics Bison Coaches Corner coaches show with head men’s basketball coach, Saul Phillips, and head women’s basketball coaches, Carolyn DeHoff.

Broadcasting Across Campus and the Community

Promoting the most real-life atmosphere as possible, the BIN also has its own network and channel all programming is broadcasted over. ‘SU TV, campus channel 84, is NDSU’s own network which is 100% controlled by the BIN and the home to all of BIN’s programs and productions.

‘SU TV News is also in the community. The weekly newscast is broadcasted on CableOne, channel 14, every Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

In addition to ‘SU TV and CableOne, ‘SU TV News can also be found on North Dakota State University’s Youtube account, “ndsuutube” or at: http://www.youtube.com/user/NDSUutube.

More Than Just News and Sports

The BIN touches so many more areas than just news and sports. The BIN has produced promotional videos for many organizations and companies across the Fargo-Moorhead area, has created numerous “how-to” videos, creates public service announcements and films events including presidential addresses, NDSU theatre productions and more.
